A day before, which mean on 17th July...

I've received a notification from Facebook at one of my university pages. My first impression was, "what is it? and it looks different" and I pressed the message button and asked a sister for information.

In my minds, I have no idea what Mandela day all about and the worst is I do not know who's actually Nelson Mandela, man or woman.

Yesterday, I got an email, it sounds like this;

Below pictures are what we have done. Please do support us! It's all about 1500 roses will be giving free away for you and of course I am really exciting waiting the day.

Still didn't get the idea???
Ok let me explains to you in simplest words

Here are some information what exactly Mandela Day all about...
The world is troubled recently by a rise of extremism. It’s an epidemic that breeds lack of empathy leading to building blocks of distrust in the society.

The 18th of July has been declared by the UN to be the “Nelson Mandela International Day” to acknowledge his contribution to the struggle for democracy internationally and the promotion of a culture of peace throughout the world. The world is called to take action and inspire change, making everyday a Mandela Day.

On this day, The Global Peace Volunteers (GPV) is getting together on Nelson Mandela International Day to promote togetherness and message of unity for our common humanity by performing act of kindness and spread positivity to the public. The acts not only promote giving but connect people beyond boundaries to create a ripple effect of positivity and kindness.
